OUR STORY
This enchanting villa welcomes travellers seeking an unforgettable escape.
The entrance carries the name "Tobrook," as a way to unite the names of two previous owners who built the house, (Tomas + Brook = Tobrook), whose love knew no bounds. The new owners also realised that the name of the town “Alella” unites their names as well, (Alasdair + Raphaella = Alella), when the new owners first laid eyes on the villa and met Jose Maria Tomas the man who built the house and raised his own family here for 40 years they felt an instant connection to him and a synergy to the place.
As he was a former sea captain, the villa features lots of nautical charm thanks to its maritime decor which instantly attracted the current owner Alasdair who is also a keen yachtsman. This is something you will notice when you are at the middle deck of the house having a drink at the ships bar
Raphaella who has a great love of the countryside and hiking fell in love with the mountainside setting. The expansive views, abundant natural light, and multiple outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy without feeling crowded were major factors in her decision to purchase the property. She loves to pick her own lemons and figs which grow in abundance in the garden. Why not pick one yourself to add to garnish your gin and tonic? Or recreate her signature salad - featuring ripe figs, blue cheese, walnuts, and endive.
